Marking Scorecards and Slow Play.

October 13, 2017

As we move into the Winter Season and have lost the Fire Gaps, which have helped considerably during the Summer Season with slow play, we would like to draw your attention to some of the common contributory factors of slow play.

We would be grateful if you would take a few minutes to have look at the link below, which gives guidance on how we can adapt our own playing practices and procedures so as to make the game more enjoyable (or at least quicker) for all.

It has been brought to our attention by the processors, that whilst the majority of the members complete their cards correctly, there are an increasing number of cards that are being posted, which are extremely difficult to read.  This is making the processing process more time consuming, and can result in incorrect scores being recorded.

This is mainly in Pairs/Team Competitions, which as we move into the Winter are the main Competitions that we play.

Once again, if you could spare a few minutes to have a look at the guidelines for marking cards which can be found on the link below.

Thank you all for your assistance with these matters
