I wrote this app primarily to help me with my own golf training but many people since have said that they would like to use it as well so I made it available on the app store. The app was not designed to teach you how to play golf. For that you will need the help of a professional coach and lots of practice. What it is designed for however is to enable you to monitor and record the results of practice sessions to see improvements over time in table and chart form.
The App includes some practice routines which will enable scores to be recorded and saved. Along with notes on swing changes or putting adjustments, this will let you know if the changes have resulted in better play not just in a day or so, but more importantly, over the longer term.
I have tried to keep this app quite simple to use and adaptable to the needs of many people. As data is accumulated it will be useful to have consistent references which are used for sorting in some of the drills. The pitching circle drill for example enables users to pitch from any distance with any club. Without a reference to identify this combination (for example 40sd for a 40 yard/metre pitch with a sand wedge) the data can become quite meaningless. Version 1.3 will enable users to chart the data for just a single reference which makes that pitching circle drill much bigger and more useful.
The small cost is to cover the work I have done in development plus the work I will continue to do with updates and improvements. Since version one I have added a new routine for driver and lots of new functionality. Version 1.3 includes a new putting drill plus sorting options for some of the charts.
