High Legh Park Golf Club celebrated its Captains’ Drive In

“ High Legh Park Golf Club celebrated its Captains’ Drive In on 1st April 2012.  On a sunny but cold morning, the three new Captains, David Thompson, Cathy Lees and Jonny Allatt drove off the first tee in front of 100 members of the Club.  Members had been invited to bet on the length each of the Captains would drive with proceeds going to the Captains’ charity, The Christie.  Jonny hit a splendidly long and straight drive with David and Cathy managing slightly less length and accuracy!!

A team competition was then played with all the players coming back to the Clubhouse for a lovely, well-earned Sunday lunch and prizegiving.  A good day was had by all.”
