High Legh Park Golf Club Captain’s Drive In
As is the tradition last weekend saw the joint drive in of all three Captains at High Legh Park Golf Club near Knutsford followed by a Shotgun Stableford Competition.
This years Captain is John Caslin, the Lady Captain is Carol Robinson and the Junior Captain is James Macarty.
John has been playing golf for 20 years and joined High Legh in 2002. Originally a Chemist he now runs his own successful business, and spends a lot of time travelling the world promoting it. This has had the advantage of enabling him to play some of the world's most prestigious courses. This year however his focus is very much on High Legh and having a great year as Captain.
Carol joined High Legh as a beginner in 2003 but over that time has managed to reduce her handicap to 15. Carol ran her own business but since her retirement she has focused her efforts on golf and charity fund raising. Her chosen Charity for her Captain's year is The Children's Farm Trust a locally based charity which provides respite holidays for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.
James is currently studying for his "A" Levels at Lymm High School and hopes to go to University to study Business Management. He joined High Legh in 2005 and is now playing off a 4 handicap. Both Jame's father and younger brother play at High Legh and his other interests are tennis and football.
